March 2nd, A Lighting Show #2

Join us In The Shed for a magical evening. We’re having a Lighting Show with a variety of ceramic made lamps, candle holders, luminaries, and oil lanterns displayed throughout…. In The Shed will be completely lit up. I’m so excited to host this event where we can gather together and let our lights shine.
March is at the tail end of the darkest time of the year! I wanted to push my practice in a meaningful way and collaborate with my like minded friends and accomplished artists! I was inspired to create a variety of vessels that hold or bring light in your home. Creating these pieces was a big challenge for me, and I’m excited to share this project with you.
Joining me In The Shed silversmith/wire artist Shelli Markee to bring her unique talents to the show. Shelli is making lamp shades out of wire and paper to accommodate my not so traditional shapes. She’s also making her own unique wire pieces that aluminate with grace! Jesse Proebstel who’s been working with wood for some time is now going back to painting, collage and found objects. Jesse’s got a quirky and rustic approach that I relate to in nostalgic ways.
They’ve turned out to be one of kind functional pieces of art that we are so proud of.
We will be serving wine and light snacks that you can enjoy as you peruse the show.
